The 360 g/l formulation has dominated the market for almost 50 years. Concentrating the formulations changed nothing in terms of efficacy and, above all, in terms of reducing the use of the active substance per ha. However, when the "Green Deal Strategy" and the "From Field to Table" strategy came into force, it became necessary to meet the challenges that had been set for the entire agricultural industry.

 

Glyphosate, by virtue of its highest use, is one of the priority substances. Research by scientists has shown that only 2-8% of the active ingredient used in a product reaches the site of action, i.e. is absorbed by the target plant. Thus, the problem is not the amount of active substance (glyphosate) applied, but how it is delivered to the site of action. . This conclusion led a group of visionaries and innovators to seek a solution to this challenge.

 

The result of this work is HALVETIC - an innovation on a global scale, the result of many years of work, produced by CIECH Sarzyna SA. HALVETIC contains BGT technology - Better Glyphosate Technology. BGT technology is an innovative combination of an adjuvant system (excipients) with the active substance , providing full functionality of glyphosate in one product. The unique combination of all key ingredients facilitates the preparation of the spray liquid and contributes to increasing the amount of liquid retained on the plant surface, creating favourable conditions for the penetration of the active substance and its movement to the site of action. As a result, this breakthrough solution allows such a significant reduction in the dose of glyphosate per hectare - by 50% compared to competitor products, without changing the level of efficacy to which users are accustomed. The product does not require the use of wetting agents and ammonium sulphate, generally added separately by users, improving ease of application. The BGT technology contained in HALVETIC is the first such significant patented innovation in over 45 years, giving a 'second life' to glyphosate It provides a solution to many of the problems associated with the use of glyphosate:

 

water hardness,

 

retention (persistence) of the substance on the plant - even in species with high morphological selectivity (e.g. monocotyledons),

 

absorption - i.e. penetration of glyphosate into the target plant through the cuticle or stem cuticle or wax covering)

 

translocation - i.e. the fastest possible transport of glyphosate to all parts of the plant - including underground,

 

foaming of the spray during its preparation

 

HALVETIC, thanks to its unique composition, makes it possible to reduce the dose of active substance per ha by 50%. By solving the problem of many external factors hindering the action of glyphosate and the problem of stability of such a complex formulation, a balance between the effectiveness of weed control and the optimum amount of glyphosate per hectare was finally achieved. At the same time, HALVETIC is a significant facilitation for agricultural entrepreneurs. Its use eliminates possible errors resulting from the selection of glyphosate additives, the recalculation of doses and the mixing of products in the correct order.

 

HALVETIC has been registered in Poland since February 2021. Its registrations are actively appearing in more countries in the global crop protection products market including. Greece, Portugal, Romania and the United States.

Application timing: apply after sowing but before maize emergence (BBC 00-09).

AFTER THE HARVEST OF THE ARABLE CROPS, BEFORE THE START OF POST-HARVEST CULTIVATION TO CONTROL COUCH GRASS AND OTHER WEEDS (STUBBLE)

 

Maximum dose for a single application: 4.0 l/ha.

 

Recommended rate for single use: 2.5 - 4.0 l/ha.

 

Application timing: Apply the product after harvesting the crop until late autumn, on green,

 

intensive weed growth. After the crop has been harvested and before the application of the product, do not carry out any cultivation especially for the control of perennial weeds (mainly couch grass). At the time of treatment, couch grass should reach a minimum height of 10-25 cm and produce at least 3-4 fully developed leaves. Annual monocotyledonous weeds should be at least 5 cm high and dicotyledonous weeds should fully develop two proper leaves.

 

Optimum and recommended amount of water: 100 -150 l/ha Less water per hectare favours the effectiveness of the product.

 

Acceptable amount of water: 100-300 l/ha.

APPLE AND PEAR ORCHARDS

 

Maximum dose for single application: 6.0 l/ha.

 

Recommended dose for single use: 4.0 - 6.0 l/ha.

 

Application timing: Apply the product from spring to autumn on green weeds during their intensive growth. Use higher doses on weeds that are strongly advanced in their development.

 

Optimum and recommended amount of water: 100 -150 l/ha. Less water per hectare favours the effectiveness of the product.

 

Acceptable amount of water: 100-300 l/ha.

 

Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 1.

Application timing: Apply the product during the period of intensive green growth throughout the growing season.

 

Adjust the dose of the agent and the timing of its application according to the weed species present.

 

In the case of a high proportion of perennial weeds, in order to ensure a lasting effect of their control, spraying in the second half of the vegetation is recommended.
